YOUR Intuition
logo
[info]completeself

Listen to your inner voice. It's trying to get your attention. Here is a nice way to do that today:

Identify two minutes that you plan to "check out" from the voices around you - and tune INside.

Ask "what do you want me most to know?"

Then listen without defense and give your voice a chance to speak up.

And remember: it's THAT simple.

Music is Good For Your Soul

Remember that rock song that made you dance and sing in the mirror with complete abandonment?

You know the one.

Pull the song out, dust it off, put it on your music player and get to dancing...Dancing is good for the soul.

Joy

It is ridiculous to deny yourself feeling good. Joy is essential. If you are not feeling joy, today or tonight go rent a movie where you identify with the main character and make this a character in a movie who is receiving ridiculous amounts of love and joy so you can enjoy the feelings that go along with that.

Listen: every day is an opportunity to smile, laugh and feel amazing. Over-estimate the power of your focus so that you can later realize how much the supposed "over-estimation" of the power of your focus was actually an under-estimation. Today, make your goal to feel good. Don't care how you do it - just do it!

Watch a movie, dance around your office, call an old friend, reconnect with a current one, suprise your partner with romance, go on a walk, join a group, eat at a new restaurant, go on a long drive to a nearby town, change up your schedule at the last minute, take a chance doing something you care about, laugh at everything, make a 24-hour contract with someone you love to agree not to think about the biggest thing that's been bothering you lately, replace your sheets with fresh/colorful ones, clean your entire house from top to bottom, say goodbye to someone toxic, say hello to someone that makes you laugh, smile at people again, eat a light dinner, go to bed early, be "out of character", fall in love, fall out of love, be someone else's hero, stand up for yourself, listen to your inner voice, write a book, write a song, go see a band perform, buy a cd to your favorite band growing up, hold hands, read a book you never would have picked up, drive a new route, cook all of your meals today, highlight only things you like about people, don't talk for an entire day, don't turn on your computer for an entire day, spend all day outdoors...ok, you get the picture. Do something different and you get different results. Make joy your goal today.

Manifesting
body & spirit, CS mind
[info]completeself
Being a completeself means owning your power, even if it's one step at a time. Each person has the ability to attract the things they want into their life. This is likely no surpise since many have heard of the Law of Attraction. If you are someone who would like to start attracting things into your life on purpose, here is an easy thing to do today/tonight/whenever you read this:

Close your eyes (well, not yet...read this first). Envision something in your life you've been wanting. Don't choose something you REALLY REALLY REALLY want. For now, just choose something that would be cool (I'll explain in a sec). Find a "scene" that you can imagine surrounding your desire. Do your best to truly be in that space so that it feels emotionally real. After doing this for a few minutes, stop. Now release it altogether (ie...focus on other things). When you release it and switch gears, do so KNOWING you will attract it into your life. I said to pick something that you're not too invested in because one of the keys is to be able to release it knowing you've attracted it and it's on its way.

If you find it hard to believe the law of attraction is in your life, first do the above process with something you feel neutral about just to start showing yourself evidence that you can attract things you think about. Make it random enough that when you attract it, you're not able to "write it off" as coincidence or a chance-happening. Once you have enough of these experiences, doing the above process with something you're more vested in will start to feel easier.

Have you done this process and have a cool experience to share? If so, leave us a comment! We love to hear about people's positive manifestations!

Feed Your Spirit
logo
[info]completeself

I have two suggestions for you - see which one you gravitate towards (or both) and go with it!

1. CLEAN YOUR HOUSE THIS WEEKEND
It's good to have goals and a vision for your life but it's very easy in this day and time to get so "out there" that you're no longer grounded and actively participating in the daily tasks in your life. If you keep this up, eventually you notice that things are getting done and work is piling up. There are many ways to get grounded. One method is to clean your house. I'm not talking about "I vacuumed the carpet" clean. I'm talking about "I used 3 rolls of paper towels and entire bottle of cleaner in ONE room" clean. This is the kind of clean where you put on some good tunes, release your thoughts and just focus on cleaning on a detailed level. A great way to get started on cleaning is to first de-clutter each room by going through all of your things and donating/throwing away/organizing it all. Then get into the nitty gritty of cleaning each room. You'll give your ego a chance to turn the volume down as well as allow your intuition to turn it's volume up so you can hear your inner voice more clearly.

2. FEED YOUR SPIRIT
So often we put an emphasis on the foods we eat and the exercise we get. Today I want to share about the food that feeds our spirit. In the same way that we benefit from listening to our body for direction on which foods to eat, we also benefit from listening to our intuition on the foods to feed our spirit. Sometimes we get to a hard place where we feel we've lost direction, we feel "short" with the people we love or we don't feel the drive and motivation to participate actively in our lives. This week, I encourage you to feed your spirit at least ONCE. Feeding your spirit may involve finding a novel you love, taking time away from everyone and everything, planning a road trip with a good friend, going to the movies alone, meditating, cooking an elaborate meal of all your favorite foods, hiking through nature, going on a camping trip...whatever it is that makes your spirit get excited and feel like you have something to look forward to. Do that for yourself and what you'll notice is that you'll begin to connect to your daily life again.

Hemp Ice Cream w/Blueberries
body & spirit, CS mind
[info]completeself
It's not exactly like ice cream but I recommend trying it if you happen to be craving ice cream but not eating it AND you have a Cuisinart Frozen Yogurt maker. Take your holder out of the freezer, pour in 3/4 box of Living Harvest's Vanilla Hemp Milk, add about 1 to 1/2 cups of frozen blueberries. Turn on for 20-30 minutes until done. Makes for a nice treat. The consistency is a bit of a cross between sorbet and ice cream.

Homemade Potato Fries
logo
[info]completeself
Hi,

Whether you are gluten-free, wheat sensitive or just like a good fry, we want to share this simple recipe for making homemade baked fries. They are a delicious alternative to fast food fries, a good recipe for a fun family night and so much healthier than buying them already made.

Benefits of Eating Potatoes
We searched to find out why potatoes are good for you. If you enjoy potatoes, you'll be glad to know that they are a good source of Vitamin C, as well as B6, copper, potassium, manganese and dietary fiber. We also learned that they contain a good variety of phytonutrients that have antioxidant activity!

We invite you to have a "fries" night and enjoy a good serving of baked potato fries!

Ingredients:
Several ORGANIC russet potato (organic is important to avoid genetically modified potatoes)
Oil (we used grapeseed oil)
gluten-free seasoning (we recommend either sea salt or Colorado Spice's Organic Canadian Steak Rub)

1. Clean your potatoes (we recommend rinsing them in Sunrider's Fruit & Veggie Rinse which cleans dirt, waxy coatings, oily substances, and other undesirable residues from your fruits and vegetables. You can purchase by calling us @ 512-891-7667 or emailng us at info@completeself.com. The trial size bottle will last a long time and costs $8.10 - we recommend you buy a few since shipping is about $10) We adore this product - it has so many uses and helps to keep your foods clean!

2. Cut your potatoes into fry-like shapes (you can also cut them in medallions to enjoy round-shaped fries, whichever you prefer)

3. Put cut potatoes in a large bowl of ice water - let soak for about 20 minutes

4. (Pre-heat oven to 425) - remove cut potatoes and dry off with clean kitchen cooking cloth or paper towels

5. Place cut potatoes in a bowl, add several Tablespoons of your oil, use large spoon to coat all of the soon-to-be fries

6. Lay fries out on baking pan so none are touching, sprinkle a very light amount of your seasoning on top OR wait to season when they are done cooking - it's a matter of choice

7. Cook in oven for APPROXIMATELY 20-25 minutes (keep a watch on them to see what you prefer - everyone likes their fries cooked differently). If you would like the other side to be crisper, turn over each fry to cook for approximately 15 mins (keep a watch to see how long).

8. ENJOY! We enjoyed our fries with gluten-free organic ketchup and stone-ground mustard as our dipping sauces.

RECOMMENDATION: Enjoy eating your fries with a tall glass of refreshing Fortune Delight, Sunrider's alkalinizing herbal drink that nourishes your cleansing systems and is part of their Vitalite program (weight management). You can order Fortune Delight through CompleteSelf by calling or using the email listed above (see #1). Fortune Delight comes in various flavors including regular, peach, lemon, raspberry and cinnamon. It's all plant-based and a wonderful replacement for coffees or teas. It comes in small packets so it's easy nutrition for someone on-the-go.

If we've inspired you to have a "Fry Night", we'd love to hear from you through our comments option on this entry!

Eat Yourself Balanced!
logo
[info]completeself
NOTE: this information has been learned over the years of independent studies. Nothing is meant to replace the advice from your doctor.

Eating live foods feeds your own life force. Everything, on a basic level, is energy. The more vitality your foods have, the more vitality it feeds you. If you can embrace this basic concept, you can understand why people who eat diets full of vegetables that are not overcooked (or are raw) and fresh fruits reap a lot of benefits. That being said, our soils are not what they used to be and not all foods yield us everything we need (which is why the vitamin industry is a booming business). That said, our bodies are designed to live on food, not vitamin isolates. Sunrider offers whole food nourishment, which means your body gets so much more than just a vitamin or mineral - it gets all of the micronutrients that nutrition doesn't even have a name for yet. SO, to get a good handle on your vitality, eat a diet rich in live foods and add Sunrider.

Sunrider foods: Eat the basic NBC (Nourish, Balance, Cleanse) Program each day:
Nuplus
Quinary
Calli Tea and/or Fortune Delight
Sunnydew

Add Herbcal to this mix (it's an amazing food source of Calcium, and ofcourse includes its own vitamin D for assimilation of the Calcium)

Being a Veggie Head
logo
[info]completeself
Most people have experimented with the idea of being a Vegetarian at some point in their life, but often times it either feels too hard to know what to eat OR you feel like your lacking something.

Sunrider foods provide an awesome benefit to those seeking a vegetarian diet. By providing all of your key nutrition, Sunrider foods makes eating a vegetarian diet a lot less overwhelming. For starters, your less concerned about whether the fruit and/or veggie is truly giving you the maximum amount of vitamins and minerals because you know your Sunrider foods are providing that. That being said, it's still beneficial to eat organic, live food since you don't want your food source depleting from your energy and vitality.

Additionally, the more you consume a whole food based live diet, the more life force you are feeding yourself (which is why Sunrider foods are so superior to anything you find on the market shelves today).

PCRM (Physicians Committee for Respsonsible Medicine) has a wonderful website on being a Vegetarian. Visit this page.

Not a Veggie Head? Perhaps you should consider being a Flexitarian:
(flexitarian (fleks.uh.TAYR.ee.un) n. A person who eats a mostly vegetarian diet, but who is also willing to eat meat or fish occasionally. —adj. (Flexible + vegetarian.).

Have any questions about how to best complement a Vegetarian diet with Sunrider foods? Post it on here and we'll provide insight.

Awesome Video that Teaches about Healthy lifestyles
logo
[info]completeself
Hello all,

Back when our family began eating the Sunrider foods, we watched a video that changed our lives and our mentality. The video featured a couple, JW and Lois Emerson. Lois had numerous health issues and was looking for answers. Her husband was a football coach at the time and had a background in chemistry. Their search was long but it ultimately led them to Sunrider. Lois has her health back and they have been consuming the Sunrider foods for over 15 years. They continue to share their story with people nationwide.

Since that fateful day that we watched their video, they have become friends of our family and even just recently, we hosted them at our home in Texas after they did a daylong seminar to share. They are in their 70's and sharper then most twenty and thirty year olds that I know. They have wonderful hearts and give of themselves so much. They've literally helped thousands of people get their health back by educating them on leading a healthy lifestyle and incorporating the Sunrider foods.

If you are someone who is thinking about eating Sunrider or is having any health issues, you'll be glad to learn that they have a recent video available which also features Cathryn Hart, Morgan Fairchild's sister. You absolutely should watch this video so you understand what leading a healthy lifestyle means and how Sunrider plays a critical role. The video comes in DVD or VHS format.

Garlic, A Great Defense Builder
logo
[info]completeself
Hello,

A lot of people think of Vitamin C when they get sick, but few think of wonderful garlic. Garlic not only has anti-viral properties but it's been remarked as a food that is beneficial for heart health and weight management. You can eat it raw or cook it. Less cooking will keep the beneficial properties intact. A wonderful way to get garlic in your diet is to make your own salad dressing. Add fresh chopped garlic to olive oil, crack pepper in it, add a splash of balsamic vinegar and a pinch of sea salt. This salad dressing also provides a wonderful way to get a dose of healthy fat into your diet (thanks to the olive oil).
